Hello and welcome to my blog. Thanks for dropping by, I hope you enjoy reading all about my beauty discoveries and find the tips useful.
I hope to keep it fun and varied as well as informative and locally focussed.
I have a long history in the beauty and fashion industry
, having started my career as a teenager working in Londons top hair salon, Antenna and also selling vintage 1950's and 1960's clothes on a stall at Portobello Market.
From there I set up my own business Vintage Violet and became a fashion stylist working on Niche magazines, pop promo videos and photo shoots, all with a vintage slant.
I then trained as a make up artist where I also Leary special effects make up and how to do horror effects which I loved!
I made many brides look gorgeous for their big day during this time whilst also catering to big Halloween parties with slashed necks and lots of gore!
I became a Beauty Editor in 2011 and during this time I tried hundreds of face and body treatments and products.
I now know lots of trick, tips and the best products for every skin type and as a lifetime Chiswickian I have decided to create a space here where I will select the cream of the beauty products, all available locally for my fellow Chiswick beauty lovers!
I can't promise that you will love everything here or that I will cover everything that you need to know but I'm not sponsored or paid by any company and have no bias for products, I will just recommend everything that I try that I feel works and does what it says it will do. I have a passion for great products whether that be perfumes, candles or a great lipstick or a new blouse I have seen while out and about and I can't wait to share my finds here!
This is mainly a beauty blog but I also have a love of fashion and interiors so you can expect to sometimes hear about those too! If I find something I love then I will blog about it.
I would love to hear thoughts and comments; good and bad and I love interaction so please do join in and leave comments. If there is anything you would like me try or feel you would like to know more about then do let me know and I will do my best to please!
Mainly, I'm hoping that this space can be a little retreat for local readers to come to when they have a spare ten minutes or so.
I will also be planning workshops on all things fashion, beauty and interiors, if you have an interest in attending one of these please contact me for dates etc.
I can also offer one-to-one make up lessons, restyle, wardrobe clearing & sorting and a personal shopping service. Feel free to ask if you would like me to come to your home or workplace for any of these services, I am approachable and friendly and willing to work with you on whatever requirements you have.
Thanks for for reading and I hope you enjoy the content.
